al kaline ttm?

I sent Al his rookie card along with a $5 check and a letter..
he returned the card unsigned along with the check...

should I have included cash?? is that why he didn't sign it?

I sent a 59 topps to him this year with whatever it is he wants (5?).

got it back pretty quickly and it was signed.

Yeah, Kaline has been returning everything, including cash. It sucks cuz I have 3 items I was hoping to get signed. I'll wait and see if this has anything to do with his IRS issues. Maybe once that is taken care of he will go back to signing.

I sent it to his home.. I wonder if sending a crisp Fiver to the stadium might push the ole boy to sign

Al Kaline charges more than $5 for autographs. He doesn't sign much through the mail, he usually just sends the items back. I've never got him to sign TTM.

Try adding $20 cash. I met him at a show in Detroit 8 years ago the fee was $45 for a bat, $35 Ball/flat.

I sent him $20 and a OMLB about a year and a half ago. Came back signed.

He has been signing some stuff that has been sent through the Tigers.Almost everything sent to his house has been returned.

I got him to sign for $5 bucks last year on a 1954 Topps Reprint through the Tigers address. It took a bit of time to return if I remember correctly.

Absolutely not true according to sportscollectors.net. He had signed tons of items for 5.00 a pop TTM at home. Its only been the past couple of months things have been returned.

Mike, thanks for the info on sending it to the Tigers. I'll have to try it.
