eBay - Buying / Selling Through Different IDs

Is there anything wrong with buying and selling on eBay using different IDs?

I've been hosed (for small amounts) as a buyer recently and I'm afraid to leave negs and/or file SNADs for risk of retaliation against me as a seller.

I have perfect feedback and great DSRs and don't want to put them at risk.

Is the answer to use separate IDs? -- and can I attach the same PayPal account?

I have 2 accounts.. I planned to buy from one and sell with the other.. but it was easier for me to do just one out of laziness..

    nothing wrong with doing that
  • Nothing wrong with that at all. Especially now with the stark contrast between the two accounts, and trying to maintain good feedback on the seller side.

Nope, nothing wrong with it, IMO it is a good tactic.

Every seller should use unique buying accounts.

If you do not have a separate PayPal account for each EBAY account,
you can use one PP account to send and receive money, but the name
on that PP account will allow the seller/buyer to see your identity.

Online checking-accounts are easy to open.

Prepaid debit-cards can be used for EBAY registration and PayPal payments.

Each EBAY account needs a unique email addy.

Multiple EBAY accounts will likely - though not in every instance - be deemed
by EBAY to be "associated accounts," if you use the same computer/isp on
    all the accounts.

Never use your buying accounts to bid on your own auctions. Such accounts can
be used to "buy" your own BIN listings.
