  • Ummm I'm not sure if you notice but someone snuck a few 2008 boxes into your card vault.

Edit to add that someone also put a jersey card on the lower shelf.

Mesmerizing... reminds me of that Seinfeld episode where he gets his new girlfriend loaded, so he can play with her classic toys (1960's-70's)... can you imagine the fun?

Felicia, you may not have to worry about earthquakes like us in the SF Bay Area... but, you might consider adding some rails on each shelf just incase. Maybe, some clear lucite panels on hinges that open from top down?

    take care,

    Mike

Hey Felicia -- how 'bout I come over with a 15lb. turkey and a box of wine?

But seriously -- that's my "dream" box -- the first cards I can remember opening as a kid.

I bet keeping that BBCE card in the seal will increase the value of that box too. Thank you for giving me something to dream about tonight!

    Just saying.

On the second rack, if you also had a Felix Milan to go with Kessinger and Hunt, you would have 3 guys whom I remember choked way up on their bats (no pun intended).

  • In all honesty, The 71 box was huge as I wanted a 71-76 run in wax packs and/or cellos/vending...

With the 71 wax box purchase my run is complete.. I can add as I see deals..I wont open any of these as I am keeping them sealed until its time to sell.

Just kidding. While I can probably find pics on the internet of this stuff, it really makes it special when a quality board member posts their collection pieces. Sort of gives it a bit more of a "closer to me" feeling. I guess that make the jealousy worse, lol, but I'll suffer through it.

I think Steve had 3 of the '71 boxes within the last 6 months.

How did you make out on the 1976 cards that came back EOT? I hope it was positive. How many cases of '74 and '76 did you have? You opened one of each, right?

Are there unopened vending cases and wax box cases still out there? image

I just saw a vending box but It is very very suspect, In fact, it looks searched.

As far as how much..mastro had a ton of wax packs that were sold a few years back that went thru the roof. I cant remember the total but I swore it was like 2 71 wax boxes.

I look for these almost all the time and this is the first legit box I have seen in years.
Racks are more attainable, the same ones seem to resurface all the time..

The 71's are the most difficult years to find unopened in the 70's by far.
