I think I'm going to start a football set.

I haven't done one before, although I'm slowly amassing '52 Bowman Large.

This set shall be the 1958 Topps set. I just had 11 cards graded in 7 and 8. With only 132 cards in the set, this should be a fun little project. I could slap myself for selling the Jurgensen RC I had a couple years ago.

    Yep, I bought that card raw on a lark and it came back an 8. I've regretted it from the time I put it in the mail to the winning bidder.

    BTW, you're the inspiration for this thread in part. I've been tinkering with the idea of a football set and your post made me do it. image

    I have an idea. How about Burgundy and Ijustlovecards join forces and build one together? Those two gentlemen would take out a set in no time!!!! I vote 55 All american

    Good for you Ron! Football is a blast, since you have a bunch of 52 Large then the '58 set (although not one of my favorites )should be a great project- I wouldnt want anyone starting a non Bowman set because they would miss out on the sheer beauty of them but since you got some already then I give this a image
