Did anyone notice 4SC changed their shipping fees?

I just noticed this today. The old shipping structure was $4 for 1, $6 for 2, $8 for 3, then .25 for each additional card.

The new structure is $3, $5, $7, and then .50 for each additional. I guess this is better for buying 1 or 2 cards, but after 7 cards, the new structure will cost the buyer more.

I can't imagine this will help raise their shipping DSRs?

Interesting. Next time I want to buy an 8 in a 9 or 10 holder, I'll take this into consideration.

I bought about 60 or so PSA 8 '69 commons at their opening bid of $6 a while back. I bid the opening bid on around 100 of them but some went for more. Doing that is the only way it makes sense to buy from them. If you only buy a couple then the shipping eats you alive. With this new structure I'm guessing their sales will go down a little.

Ya, that blows... I too buy from 4sc, but only when I can pick up 10/15+ cards at a time. ... guess not anymore.

You can get quite a few graded cards in flat-rate boxes.... you'd think a good model would be to cap out S/H... but then again, you can't make more money that way.

i have far too many 4sc cards in my collection
to justify such a realization.

How do you know there isn't a cap on their combined shipping rate? I believe there is one, but not sure what it is.

Buying 15 cards from them used to be 73 cents per card shipping ($11 divided by 15 cards), and now buying 15 cards is 87 cents shipping per card ($13 divided by 15 cards). So, 14 cents increase per card on 15 cards is enough to make you look elsewhere? If so, then you're working on a tighter margin that most.

Good point... initial reactions are usually negative, but after you do the math it's not much of a difference.

I know they don't have a max. I've bought so many that they had to send me mult. invoices... Ebay won't allow more than 40 items per invoice.
They have NO max... I bought enough one time the S/H fees ended up being just under $35... but they used a large flat-rate box to ship everything in. Oh Well.

I've bought enough on several occasions that it wouldn't fit into a large flat rate box. Having shipping average out to $0.33 or so per card was nice.

Their $3.99 BINs ship free. I just got a 7 card shipment a week or so ago for the $3.00 that I paid ti ship the one actual auction item that I won.
