Opinions regarding grading wax boxes

I am knocking around the thought of sending in a sealed case (1975 Mini) to GAI, and grading all 16 boxes "from a sealed case", given all of the concern over wax in general and gai as well, is it a worthwhile thought?

    "Pre-law, pre-med what's the difference"

If you also have a concern about GAI, why send anything to them. I don't grade packs or boxes, PSA grades packs, do they grade boxes? If they do, I would send them to PSA.

I think GAI is the only game in town for boxes and racks - PSA does not grade them.

"Pre Law" equals "Pre-Mistake". Take it from a a "Post Law" person. Whatever area of law you want to practice, work on the business side of it (unless its criminal law image)

I would not open a case to have gai grade them , all you are paying for is the holder and short term you may get a small premium but eventually it will be gone , I think you could sell them for about the same thing by the box slowly over time. I sold all mine in less than a month , you could increase the price from what I was selling and sell 1 a month for a year a get the same thing net that you would having them in a gai holder. prewarcollector sold one in a gai 8.5 a few months back and I think he got 1280 or something . not worth the aggravation for such a small premium after all your expenses and time. that is also assuming gai doesn't drop the case or lose it.

Thanks Duncan. I think I will simply stand pat for now. Part of my thought was an itch to blast a box or two, without impairing the value of the case being sealed. Damned things are addictive...

I was kicked out of law school for my Erin Andrews video addiction.

I'm now making a living by resealing vintage wax packs and selling them on the bay. This is much more lucrative than forging autos on craigslist.

BTW, any one interested in doing a group rip from my stash?
