Is Anyone Else Doing the Sportlots Treasure Hunts?

I wasn't around yesterday morning to try, but this morning I am working on it. Anyone else following it?

I read about it, figured it didnt amount to much, although, I am spending so much time anyway putting my cheap cards up on the site.

Have already sold 12 cards in a week. Not a lot, but I only have 1700 on the site. Anyone else have any experience selling on this site?

Clue 1 is throwing me for a loop. First guess was Rickey, especially after seeing hint 2. Hint 3 makes me think Red Sox/Cub. Only three HOFs that I can think that played for both are Fergie, Eck, and Jimmie Foxx.

    Any thoughts?

I know who the player is, but I can't find the card because the site is moving like a snail.

Got this email about an hour ago, they are overdue for clue #5....

Please be patient, there is a good chance of site slow downs during the treasure hunt due to increased traffic.

Clue #1: I am confused, what city am I playing for today?

Clue #2: I am in the Hall of Fame.

    Clue #3: I was Jinxed!

    Clue #4: I played baseball

Next clue in about 45 minutes...

    Keep in mind..

When you think you have found the card, click on the "details" link. In the detailed description you will see a note that confirms that you found the treasure hunt card.

Card is competitively priced, but if you find the card, you will receive it for free.

Approximate book value of this card is over $20, this should help reduce how many cards you are searching through.

It has to be Jackie Robinson.
...or Ted Williams. He's still frozen, right?

My initial thought on the first clue this morning was the Braves, so either Mathews, Aaron, or someone else that bounced cities with them. The following clues threw me really off of that path thought. Nice prize for the winner!

  • Always so easy once we know the answer. I wasn't thinking "first SI cover" at all with the jinx clue.
