Who needs motivation -- like me ?

I have about 30 cards sitting at home in Card Saver 1's ready to go to PSA -- with the special and I have some extra scratch -- I don't know why I haven't boxed them up.

I keep getting one or 2 more and say I will wait to send them out.

Now it is July 27th and nothing has been sent this month.

I know many of you must have done the same thing.

The worst part is my bonds opening day error and my frank thomas nnof or sitting there and I can't take it anymore.

Some one yell and me, and the rest of "us" procrastinating to get this done!

thx

rich

yup. but, no matter what, there will be a postmark on 'em by the end of the week.

wanna race to see who gets there first?

    there, now you're motivated. image

I'll play Papa Smurf. You NEED to send that NNOF and Bonds error! Just think what would happen if a slight breeze opened your window, sent the cards wildly across your room, and smashed them (corner first) into a wall? Get them in slabs asap!

Sure when you get them back you won't be able to stack them more than 2 high because the wobbly plastic might topple to the ground and spontaneously combust, but at least you'll have the satisfaction of knowing you tried to protect them.

I do the same thing! I have had 30-40 cards ready to go for three weeks now and will probably wait until Friday to ship them.

Although....it seems the later you send in your special, the quicker you get them back

  • Quit being lazy and telling us about it. With the effort/time you put forth to make this meaningless thread, you could have been putting your sub together. I've been working 85 hours a week, so I dont want to hear whiny lazy stories. Now get going. image

I disagree on that one. I completely procrastinated on my last two "specials" submissions and got them out the last day of each respective month. I waited 45 days for poppage on the first, and 48 on the second.

I agree with Donovan. Being lazy is not good.

I just woke up myself and went to the gas station and picked up some donuts. Got the glazed kind, they were really good. Now I'm gonna go lay on the couch and watch sportscenter. I'll probably fall asleep again but as soon as I wake up, I'm gonna start on my submission.

There is nothing better feeling than staying up to 2:30 in the morning the night before the last day of a month. And telling yourself you will not wait until the last day again.

It's deja vu all over again.

I get 99% of everything I do done at work...then right to the gym every day....when I get home I usually have about 2 hours to myself before bed.

I think I need to start bring the cards to work.

Thanks for kick it the @#s D.

Let's get those cards in boys !

I seem to wait until the very last day too. It is not out of laziness it is because I am always finding "1 more card" to add to the sub.

That's the key for me. Luckily, my boss is fine with it. He says I can leave whenever needed to do whatever I need (on the clock). But it's easier to do my personal stuff at work rather than leave everyday.

You may be having bad luck. Ive sent my last two specials in on the last day of the month and have gottne them both back in about 15 days, long after many who sent their's in the first of the month had not.

It could be the top of the box effect, last in first out or I could just be getting lucky.

ok, so listen to this....I run to walmart on my lunch break because someone here said that had top loaders or card savers on sale.

they place is a mess due to the re-organization of the store for back to school sale...

and "poof" the baseball card corner is gone ....not moved to another location and no one in the store knows if it is coming back...

    ?

it seems like I have to drive further and further to get any cards

good thing I have a case of 89 fleer error boxes getting to my house today !
