    I am just getting more and more disgusted. When I was a kid and Lyman Bostock got shot it just seemed surreal. How could this have happened? Now, it has happened numerous times in the past couple of years to star athletes (Sean Taylor, Alexis Arguello, Steve McNair. Arturo Gatti, Vernon Forrest, etc..). What is going on with our society? This is insanity. Can't we all just learn to get along with each other?

    I'm not justifying any criminal actions but more commonly do I see cases being just a natural selection process...surround yourself with shady characters and you run a higher risk of being a victim.

    Plain and simple, don't become a statistic.

    How about reading up on the story a little. After being robbed at the gas station,Vernon pulls a gun out of his vehicle (with kid in the car of his girlfriend's) and starts running and shooting after the two robbery suspects.

    What a shame, too many deaths lately!

    This story reminds me of the movie Death Sentance, starring Kevin Bacon. I'm gonna watch out where I stop for gas and such from now on...
