Interesting Statistic IMO

While trying to find an answer for a fellow board member, I can across this interesting stat.

Ted Williams, Babe Ruth, Stan Musial, Rogers Hornsby, Lou Gehrig (all HOFers) and this man are the only players in history to have a batting average of .300 or more, on-base percentage of .400 or more, a slugging percentage of .500 or more, 2000 hits, 300 home runs, 500 doubles, and 1000 walks.

Who is he? He is NOT in the HOF.

First person with the correct answer gets a virtual pat on the back and a "Way to go" from me! LOL

Just think, if just 5 of those HRs had hit the top of the wall, Thomas would be mentioned in the same breath as some all time greats...

Of course those numbers could go down, but the original poster's question makes no distinction between active or not active.

That's what happens when you are looking for one answer and come across other stats ... I just posted that question without really looking into the answer or being more specific regarding active/retired players. LOL
