1969 Topps #562 Bob Watson Rookie not in SMR??

Anyone know what the SMR is on this card or possibly some VCP help on a PSA 9 since it isn't listed in the SMR price guide? Thanks.

If I remember correctly, its a easy card in 9. Probably worth 10-15 bucks in 9

Continuing, there are 100 PSA 9's and 15 PSA 10's. So, 10-20 bucks would probably be its worth

That would be a cool card to have since Mr. Watson apparently scored the 1,000,000th run in major league history.

As others have said, it's a pretty easy card and should fetch $15-$25 in a 9.

thanks for the input. In my ongoing quest to complete my NM-NM/MT '69 set I saw it ending on ebay last night. I didn't look up the SMR (isn't there anyway) but bought it for $10.50 and free shipping.

SMR doesn't have #562 listed, but yeah it's a common.

I think it's hilarious that someone uses a price guide that hasn't been updated in 5 years as their method of pricing cards. You might as well use the N.Y. Time Sudoku to look up cards.

SMR is $50 for commons. Sounds like the commons in SMR need to come down for this set with an $18 avg selling price.

I'll keep my money, you can have the change!

To be fair, the pricing varies greatly depending on population. On the one end you have high pop cards selling for $10-$20. On the other end you have ones like a Kekich selling for $1700. I'd say the overall average for PSA 9 commons over the full set is in the $35-$40 range. So SMR needs to come down, but certainly not to $20 or less.

VCP is always the best source for the market value for a particular card in a particular grade.

lol, If you'll read in the thread I didn't even look when I placed the bid and bought the card for $10.50. So I didn't use any price guide for pricing the card. I simply said that the SMR guide omitted the #. I always use VCP when buying or selling higher dollar cards.

On another note, I read in some thread that you play poker. Would you care to play me some heads up on Stars or Tilt? Any amount is fine.

I'd love to but I haven't had money online for months. Between running a restaurant and having a baby, there's not a whole lot of time for poker.

that's not the card I bought. I stated that I only gave $10.50 and free shipping for it and that one is $13.50 + $3.50 shipping. This is the one I bought, the guy put up the same picture for 2 of his auctions. I got it in the mail today.

OK, but now you realize that I'm going to play with the money I put in my account. Once I run it up to 10k real quick we can play some real poker.

What's the fastest way to load a Stars account nowadays? I haven't screwed around with online poker since Neteller went under, but I'm thinking of dabbling again.

  • CDsNutsCDsNuts Posts: 10,092
The fastest way is echeck but it takes a day or so to complete the signup process. Incidentally, I lost the $500 in about 13.6 seconds after my set of aces got cracked. Then my baby started crying. Then I started crying. Then we both pooped our pants.

Echeck like CD said. The first time you link your checking account you can deposit $100 max I think until the first one clears then you can deposit up to $600. If you want higher deposit limits just call them. When you cash out DO NOT request a check right now, lots of 3rd party processors are being shut down and money is being tied up from stars. Request the withdrawal back to your checking account, it takes about 4-5 days.

that's fine, we can play on your terms since I was the one that had something come up when you had a chance to play. I haven't been playing as much online lately either, or live for that matter. Didn't even get a chance to go to the series this year.
