Have You Looked at the 59s on Ebay?

There are a ton of 1959 PSA graded cards-mostly 8s-on ebay. Two sellers are breaking up nearly complete sets. I am trying to fill some holes, but the cards are going well above the VCP average. These are really nice cards. I have won only 5, and three of those were high pop commons. What's really depressing is that in many of the auctions I lost, there were 2 or more bidders above me. I have bid on about 35-40 cards.

Are other board members chasing these cards?

It was not much better this evening. All my bids were above the VCP average. I went about 4 for 30.

As you read in my past reply I am chasing a few 59s as listed.Looking through the auction there sure are going to be some outragoeus prices paid for many of the cards. Some prices were high in the past but not this high.Where have all these cards been hiding.I admit many of these are low pops. However Hmmm!!

Don't know what it is about the 59's. I am collecting PSA graded Topps sets from the 1950's and have been making slow progress on all of them, but I haven't won a 1959 in months. And this is for PSA 5, 6, or 7. So they seem to be selling strong in all grades.

Sounds like a good time for me to break my set.

Card #322-VCP $49 I decided to overpay as it is a Brave, so I did $73. It sold For $152.

What grade? I paid over $100 for mine, and it's a 5. I bought it last year.

PSA 8 for $152. That must be with the trade statement.

I thought we were talking about the rare no-trade variation.
