Going to Cooperstown in August... Need Some Recommendations...

Last time I was in Cooperstown was probably 15 years ago so I am sure a lot has changed. I am planning on going in the Mid-August time frame. Looking for suggestions/recommendations for the following:

1.) Places to Stay. I dont mind driving from out of town a bit to save a few bucks. In town seems to add about 125 a night to the stay which is money that would be better spent on cards or memorbilia.

2.) Time I should dedicate to the Hall. One day minimum, but is there enough there to make two days out of it?

3.) Any other recommendations for family activities. My wife and 18 month daughter will be going with me so I need to throw her a bone in this deal and she may need another activity to keep the little one busy.

4.) Any recommended restaurants or card shops?

Thanks for all the help. We are also going to check out Niagra when we are up that way.

    Hi Justin,

Here's a great link for ATTRACTIONS from the Cooperstown Chamber of Commerce.

Here's a CALENDAR of EVENTS for next month!

    Hope this helps!

    Have fun!

Thanks for the links. Very helpful. It looks like driving 15-20 miles will save me $125 a night on a room.

Anyone else have any recent experience up Cooperstown way?
