Anyone else know of mac issues regarding icons?

Thinking of changing my icon.
I do not see an upload box on my profile page to do this - just the library of pics already available.
I am a mac user - (my school district is 100% mac) and so that is all I have at home.
Anyone have experience uploading icons using mac? Or will I have to find a PC?
