What pre-77 sports card is known to have 3 or less copies ?

The rarest hockey card ever produced is now for sale by BMW sportscards. There are only 3 known examples of this card in existance.

So I was wondering. What other sports cards printed before 1977 are know to have 3 or less copies in existence ?

Edmund -- there are literally dozens, if not hundreds, of unique or extremely scarce [less than 5 copies known] sports cards from 1977 and before.

    M131 Baltimore News Ty Cobb

    E104-III Mickey Doolan

The list goes on and on...
I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.

Why use 1977 as a cutoff? Might as well have said 2009.

Most of the issues that have only 5 or less known are probably pre ww1.

What is the card that BMW has?

The C56 #37 Newsy Lalonde. The set is composed of 36 cards but the #37 is believed to be the salesman sample that salesmen used to show off their product to buyers. He was the premier hockey player of the time and this is without a doubt the most expensive hockey card out there.

1990 Score Ken Griffey Junior card. Those are tough!

Edited: Never mind. That isn't pre-1977.

Perhaps because there are thousands of such cards from the last 10 years thanks to serial numbering?

Which US President was short printed in the 32 US Caramel set. Was it McKinley?

There are thousands of cards known in examples of under 3 with many being unique.

Every single T215 Pirate card, every single 1921 Herpolsheimer card, Every single 1904 Allegheny card, every single 1893 Just So Tobacco, every single 1910 Punch Cigar, most all T214 Victory cards, most E286 cards, most all T216 VE's, Most all T208s, Most all E222 cards, all 1913 Oakland Team Issue, Most J=K Candy, 1915 W-Unc. And then you have the scams (intentionally short prints to make kids buy more... ie. R328 Lindstrom, V117 Stengel, Holland Ice Cream Peckinpaugh, etc.).

and Yes it was McKinley that was intentionally short printed (chase card) in the R114 US Caramels Presidents set.

I have about 50-60 cards that are rarer than 3 examples known.
