How's the Restaurant going CDsNuts?

I see Lee selling some sweet '71-'73 Topps Baseball sets in the BST Forum... I hope all is well with the Restaurant.

It failed which is why I'm selling the sets. Just kidding, the place is doing great (shameful plug: www.diamondbacktavern.com). My kid was born a few days ago so I'm taking advantage of my time at home to sell some stuff I've been meaning to for the past year.

Slow roasted, Old Bay wings sound strangely tantalizing.

    Congratulations on the young'un.

Nobody believes you're married or run a restaurant, Lee. Nice try.

The last time I ate there, one of my "breaded chicken fingers" had a tail. Is that normal?
  • Congrats on the birth of your son!

Congrats to you and your wife on your newborn Son (?)... you are going to have such a great time, just forget about getting a good night sleep for the next year or two. I'm just started to sleep well again after two boys and my baby girl... it's been about 7 years or so.

Something to look forward to... I'm painting my baby girl's room today, two shades of pink divided by a Disney Princess border (I spent all day yesterday masking & getting supplies)... back to work for me.

    take care,

    Mike

PS: Continued success with your Restaurant and sale of those sweet Topps sets!

Holy crap, Lee, I'm on vacation at my in-laws in Columbia, MD. I think that's just down the road? You there every day? More importantly, any shops worthwhile around here?

    Kurt,
I grew up in Columbia. I usually work 6 days a week but I'm taking the next couple weeks off to change diapers and get no sleep. There's a shop called The Dugout Zone nearby but I haven't been there in years. Feel free to stop in the restaurant and let me know how it is if you have time.

I cant decide if scotch eggs sounds good or totally nasty!!

My daughter is in the air force and stationed in MD and we plan on heading out there in the fall. Maybe we will stop in and try the scotch eggs for myself.
I am on a budget and I am not afraid to use it!!

I'm flying out to Denver a week from Wed. to whack the new 20-40 limit hold 'em game that they're running up in the mountains. If I cap pre-flop in an eight way pot with an unsuited slick, miss the flop, and am looking at 80 to go on the turn, should I call? My feeling is that you'll guide me towards the default philosophy here, which is WWTBDD (what would the Buffalo Destroyers do), but I need some confirmation.

BTW, did I say congrats on the addition to the family? Did I also say I'm taking the 'over' for the house limit?

So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts
