I was rummaging through a few items in my collection the other day and ran across this and thought you might get a kick out of it...It's an actual Associated Press newswire dated 01/18/89 detailing the breaking news of the infamous FF card. Back in the day, this was the way (pre internet) that news organizations got their national news...I had a buddy that worked in the news department of a radio station in Maryland and he would save any paper news wire that mentioned the Ripkens for me...

    I remember Back in the day working in sales in the Balt. area when the error cards came out, I hit ever 7-11 and Highs store along the Beltway and bought every pack of Fleer they had opening them up as I drove. Made a few bucks that spring. Those where the days when the market was just crazy.
