Some interesting stuff, but it also looks like someone consigned a bunch of slabbing mistakes, too.

I'm with newsman on this. We already have eBay for that. Granted this is only their first one, but I hope this is not the extent and quality of their future listings.

Thanks for the link. Put a few bids in for some Mexico stuff.
  • I don't know about anyone else, but I find it irritating to have them list the grade as "see description". I don't want to have to see the description for a coin which is of no interest to me if it outside of the grading parameters I'm looking for. As well, in the past they have tended to eventually get around to listing the actual grade, but not always. Give me a break, and hire one extra staff person if you have to!

I agree with all the rants (especially by the guy who stole my avatar image ). The Victorian Brit material is primarily NGC AU58-MS62 type of stuff and mostly common dates to boot, in three prong holders. Nothing to see here, folks...

I wasn't ranting, but I did note with amusement that many of the new NGC slabs have common order numbers, indicating a bulk submission that apparently went straight to Heritage.

I can understand why Heritage took the coins. They will probably make a nice profit on the buyers fees from this auction. But I wouldn't want to be the consignor, unless I could negotiate a piece of that action. image
