Andrew McCutchen - Hottest Rookie of 2009?

McCutchen is off to a hot start this year. Looks like he has the five tool skills that the scouts raved about.
So far I don't see too much activity of his cards on ebay. The last 2004 AFLAC REF Auto BGS 9.5 RC went for $393, I was the second bidder at $375.
Is it because he is a Pirate? Or are fans taking a show me attitude. If he does stay hot, his AFLAC Auto RC could go nuts.

<< <i>I have subbed 2 of his Bowman Chrome rookies and got a 10 on both. Last 2 PSA 10's sold on eBay only went for $21 and $23. Think I will wait a little longer to sell them. >>
I agree. Even though I was second, I didn't expect to come that close to winning it. I thought it would have gone for at least $475ish. Maybe I should starting buying his cards. I've had a chance to see him play a few times on MLB network and he reminds me of Eric Davis before he got all injury prone.
What's a ute?

<< <i>I have heard him compared to Eric Davis when Davis was a ute. I have a strong feeling that Davis was roided up for a long time. Would explain why his body broke down so fast. >>
You think Eric the Red was on the roids during his monster 1987 season? I thought that was the juiced ball year because Boggs even hit 24 that year. His 1985 Donruss RC has a unique look to it, I may try to buy one to add to my fallen 80's heroes - Straw, Doc, Jose, Mac, Clemens......I dunno if Puckett falls in that category.

I would say anything in 2005
Bowman Sterling
and
Topps Chrome are nice cards and pretty undervauled for a 5 tool player.

IMHO it has to be the 2004 Bowman Chrome AFLAC Refractor Auto. It was limited to just 90, has an on-card auto, and is his first card period. Even though they are numbered to 125, Topps only sent out 90 due to a mix-up at the factory....the details are on Wikipedia if you are interested.
If he paces to .300+, 15 HR, and 30 SB, this card will be in the $700 range at least.
Guy is nice complementary piece but until he can hit 25 to 30 HR's a year his cards aren't worth investing in.
