Did anyone just see that 2nd shot at 18 Tiger just hit at the Memorial?

Potentially a tourney winning shot!!

I was contemplating the current and future state of golf today. I was wondering what the ratings would have been today if Tiger was still out. I then asked my 10 year old son if he wanted to watch golf with me. His exact response, "Is Tiger playing?". I know it's been discussed before, but if someone doesn't come along soon the PGA will crash when Tiger decides to retire.

There are a couple of upcoming stars in golf, but arguably no one in golf or for that matter any other sport, has had such a tight reign on the ratings week in and week out. Like him or not, he is an incredible shot maker and the thrill of seeing his next great shot keeps people glued to the sport. When he is out, there is basically no buzz...when he and Phil are both out, NADA!!

I am still on the fence about Tiger reaching the level he once played on. I guess we will have to watch and see.

As far as the future of golf, I will watch Michelle Wie play any day.
