Some good news from GM today for once

We got our "Personal and Confidential" letter from GM today.

This one was congratulating us for being one of their "Top Performers" and a key Cadillac dealer in their network.

Think I'll have a beer and a good night sleep tonight

Great news Mike.We got our letter today that we will continue operating as usual. Many of the dealers in my area we not so lucky.I can't wait until this whole fiasco is over with.Wondering if you are still going to have a job everyday has taken alot out of me.I do wonder however since the government owns part of GM why I can't get government benefits?

Congrats to you too Mike - What car lines are you guys?

It sure is a huge weight off but not all over yet since we still have Saab (most of my experience is with Saab)

    That's good news.

    ......

The Escalade is GREAT, except that the thieves lust after them.
    (They even have a hybrid.)

If I was young, I would prolly have a CST.

We have Chevy and Hummer.Rummer has it that the new owners of the Hummer line are going to let the dealers keep selling them.Kind of like they did when they sold the H1's even though they were made by American General.

That's cool, we had Hummer when I lived out in Phoenix. All the local Sports and Celebs had them, great dealership to get autographs at image

I have a Chevy Impala SS, the mileage sucks (averages 16.3 MPG).

But GM just lied on the sticker, as the sticker mileage was for a regular Impala engine, which illustrates a much higher gas mileage.

GM conveniently didn't bother to change the mileage estimates on the sticker of my SS model, simply kept the MPG estimates the same.

I was really pissed-off! Guess if GM posted the correct gas MPG estimates miles on the sticker, GM would have sold a lot fewer SS Impalas?

    GM you are real snakes!

I agree with your issue but you got to admit that the SS is pretty bad ass.

This surprises me with the one price policy.

    I have been a Saturn driver since 1997. I wish I still had my 97 SL1. That MF'er get me 40 MPG.

I have had 3 saturns since 97 and put a total of 400,000 miles on these cars and NEVER put 1 penny into them outside of basic maintainence.

I hope someone continues the line

I used to own a Saturn; it was the most problem free car i ever owned, the dealership was awesome and the service department was the best i have ever experienced.

I agree. I have driven Saturn's for 7 years an never had a problem. I hope they carry on.

    Saturn rocks. We've owned 3.
The first one was donated to a woman's shelter.
The last 2 are still driving great. One with over 220,000 miles.

That's good news fellas. Has there been any talk about doing away with more models, ie those vehicles that do not get great MPG?
