The joys of reimaging (Darkside edition, big pics)

Stopped at my safety deposit box yesterday and picked up a few coins to reimage.
All are slabbed, and I didn't have time to polish the slabs, so please pardon any scratches, blurs, etc.
(Lightside coins can be seen in THIS THREAD)

Very impressive photos with crisp details. The 1728 german state piece is a real beauty.
Thank you to sharing them. Very Nice.

<< <i>Are you using manual focus on the imaging of your coins? -Dan >>
Yes, although some shots seem more "dialed in" than others.
With the focus assist, the area of detail that is shown is very tiny, and while I think I am getting everything in focus, sometimes it's just a hair off. I'm shooting at f8, which you would think would give a reasonable in-focus depth of field. The question becomes: do I set focus on the top-most elements or the deepest portion of the fields? In theory it shouldn't make a difference at f8, but apparently it does.
A 3-foot LCD screen rather than 3-inch would definitely help.
