That first one graded AU53? Wow... Awful lot of marks on the face of that coin... Was it in a bag?

I agree, lots of marks on the obverse, doesn't look so bad in hand. The photo really brings them out. No idea on the history of the coin, just picked it up on ebay.

What makes you think they are not genuine? I am not an expert in counterfeit holders but there is nothing about them that would lead me to believe that they are not genuine. They are in the PCGS cert database
