1914 Felt Blanket / B-18 Blankets

I'm in the process of aquiring a few of these and was wondering if any of you had any good ideas for a classy way to display them? Would you trust a frame shop with them? Would you buy the supplies and frame them yourself?

One of the card companies also issued an updated release of these with modern players. If you have any of the modern ones feel free to post a pic here.

Here is the only modern one I have. Not sure how I got it though. I do have 3 originals but not sure where they are right now. They are in poor condition.

Are the modern ons worth anything? This is an Alex Rodriguez......

  • I would frame them myself, custom framing costs a wad of dough, it looks good though, but it sure does cost youimage

    Frame them (the real ones)

They are not easy to ding up or crease, so dont worry image

I've got one linked-to in my sig line. I bought that one and two others in an antique store in Montana a few years ago. When I stopped at another vintage card store (also in Montana?) on that trip, the dealer looked at them and said they were originals. I ended up buying my T205 Gold Border "Germany" Schaefer card from him for my Senators/Twins type collection, too.

All three of the B18 Blankets I bought are in the condition of the one in my sig line. If anyone wants to see the other two, I'll be happy to scan and post!

You could always pick up a few more then sew them together to make a nice display, like this.
