Topps Redemption Substitute - How Did I Do?

My wife sends me a text today that I received a package, and I'm pumped to get home and hopefully rip my baseball and football 80's packs from BBCE. When I see the box, I realize it's not from BBCE and come to find that it is from Topps instead. A couple of weeks ago, I had purchased a mini-box of 2008 Topps Finest Football and received a Glenn Dorsey Black Xfractor Rookie Auto #'d to 5. I logged it in at Topps.com on 05/02 and figured I would have to wait months to see something. Instead I get a letter in the box today saying that they could not fulfill my redemption and sent a substitute instead. Inside the box was an unopened box of 2007 Topps Triple Threads Football. Not having any patience, I quickly ripped and found the following. I think I did OK. Nothing extremely exciting, but not another lame redemption substitute either. Good job Topps! image

    not a bad trade off- Now tell them you weren't happy with it and to send another image

    The interesting thing is the Dorsey still shows in my redemption history as pending. You'd think the status would update to fulfilled or something.

    My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

    LOL, I didn't even check until you asked. Blowout has some on eBay for $159.99 OBO. Probably could have done better just selling on eBay unopened, but that's no fun!

    I would say you did pretty well, and that is rare in the business of redemptions. It would of been nice to get anyother card #ed to 5, but 9 aint
    bad and Gates is a stud. I guess topps has thrown in the towel as far as Dorsey is concerned, funny thing is I just got an email from Donruss that
    my Dorsey auto is in the mail.

    I would be happy!

    VERY nice replacement. Extra nice considering you are only supposed to get 1 autograph per box!!
