Differences in PSA slabs/labels (photos shown)
Look at some of these scans and notice the difference in some of the labels.
The Mantle and Seaver have thin, similar fonts. The Carlton has a thick, more blurred font.
I have seen both of these fonts on various cards based on how old the slab is.
Also notice that the Seaver is in a larger capsule, with cellophane, rather than the tighter confines of the outer cards.
I don't think these slabs are tampered with. No signs of that. All were purchased from experienced sellers.
However, makes you think about the variability in the authentication, even from PSA.
I have also noticed that some of the backs of slabs are different. Some show a PSA hologram, while
others show the division of collectors universe verbage. Any thoughts? Nate

<< <i>Someone post one of the old school labels with the slashes through the zeros. Also do the bar codes on the slabs do anything? I want to go to WalMart and scan one and see what comes up. >>
I have a few somewhere. I'll see if I can find one

Kiss me twice.....let's party.
Love the old font on the label as well.
Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.
