Are these vintage Bowmans trimmed? The seller was not happy when I asked for a larger scan.

"thats the best scan I can do, it wont scan any bigger"

oh well, i suggested he try a different setting image

here is the item in question:trimmed? too small to tell?

edit*** (in his listing it says if you want other scans, just ask, which i did lol)

Definitely looks trimmed. Comparing cards, you can see that there is more white border in some of the cards than in others. In the Joe Page card, you can see there is hardly any border left, and the Ralph Branca card looks smaller than all the cards around it.. Just two observations.

I see where he says he has been selling cards for 21 years and everyone has a different 'opinon'

I don't know if they are miscut or trimmed.

He can send bigger scans if he scans 1 at a time.

    Some of them look trimmed.

Blow them up in IE to betwen 250% and 300%.

    ......................

Also, there are some counterfeits floating about.

    .............................

I would not trust anything the seller says, if he is
    balking at sending new scans.

I think the seller is costing himself some money by not learning how to use his scanner.

You could ask him if he can email you some better pictures but his other auctions say that he can't use a camera either.

We are not professional graders so please take a close look at the super size pictures provided to determine the overall condition of the cards for yourself and bid accordingly.

Steve I said 'sold' not selling.

Looking at his feedback shows NO prior card sales only nintendo and play station.

He claims in his descriptions he has been selling at shows for over 20 years.

edit: i stand corrected I was going by his feedback.

Those sales you show ended recently I suppose?

    Good for you.

My thoughts? Now that I have seen his sales from earlier this week?

This lot (1950 Bowman) are the cards that did not make it into his other lot.

These are the MC and OC's that he kept out of the lot that ended on Wed.

    Click "advanced search"

    click "items by seller"

    Paste in sellers name

    check "show completed listings only"

    click "search"

Yes I know how to check completed auctions, my point is, and remains he has yet to 'complete' a sale with cards
and be left positive feedback or any feedback for that matter.

Lets see how those sales trun out. Looking further I don't think he trimmed those cards.

I do think they are MC and OC though.

He does know about PSA that is for sure.
