Authenticity opinions please, Walter Payton signed rookie

Any Payton signature experts? What do y'all think of this one?

Unless it was signed very earlier in his career, I say fake. I have never seen his early signature, but I have never seen him sign a "P" like that.

I don't like it at all either. He was consistent with the P in Payton and with the last loop in the W in Walter. Here's mine to compare

I had a 1981 Topps card with that signature that was signed on the back - that card was in a PSA/DNA holder. Sorry I do not have a scan as it was years ago, but I think that card would pass PSA/DNA as an early signature.

Here's that "P" and "Y" - I think it is just an earlier signature as it looks a lot like that card I had before.

That Payton looks like a rookie era signature and was probably signed between 1976-1977. I assume it is extremely rare as I have only seen 1 other one on a 1976 Topps. It probably is worth a least twice as much as a signed rookie from the 80's or 90's. How much would that be? I'd say and least $1,500.00.
