Home Trading Cards & Memorabilia Forum

Dear Friends,

I have fallen irretrievably in love with the 1982 Topps Baseball set and I have decided to build a perfectly centered, pointy cornered Minty mint set card by stinking card. This should keep me busy for somewhere up to 792 years. Please bear with me as I attempt to complete my mission. I admit that I am sick. I will not, however, try to barter for your medications. I expect you to just give them to me.

Thank you and much joy of collecting.

Given the design of the 82 set maybe you should be doing a hockey set instead. Looks like a pair of sticks on the side of every card.

Big question??? Are you doing the basic set or the Master with the blackless varieties??

So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts

Wow. Is the "Go A's" authentic? What about the stache?

I agree Nick. It could just be the scan playing tricks on our eyes. It does happen.

I love this set and look forward to your updates. 1982-1986 were the sweet spot of my collecting childhood, taking me from ages eight to fourteen. I think 1983 and 1984 are my favorite sets, but you made a great choice. Have fun!

Here's a little tidbit about the 1982 set.

If you by 2006 topps series one rack packs there are inserted cards many of them 1982 commons that are minty fresh.

I have a few in a box if I can find them they are yours. But they look so fresh and glossy it looks like topps printed new one from 1982.

    Buying:
Topps White Out (silver) letters Alex Gordon
80 Topps Greg Pryor “No Name"
    90 ProSet Dexter Manley error
90 Topps Jeff King Yellow back
    1958 Topps Pancho Herrera (no“a”)
81 Topps Art Howe (black smear above hat)
    91 D A. Hawkins BC-12 “Pitcher”
