Chuck was one of my favorites throughout the years. Had to love his Penn and Pistons teams. Here is one of my favorites in my collection.....

Daly did a heckuva coaching job at the University of Pennsylvania, and started his NBA coaching career with the 76ers.

    RIP

Didn't know he was sick ... As I have stated before ... yet ANOTHER reason that we need to find a cure for Cancer.

GOD Bless Mr. Daly and his family.
    STAY HEALTHY!

    Doug

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

Unreal. First George Kell, then The Bird, now Chuck. Detroit has lost 3 of their finest gentlemen in a short time. Very very sad.

Daly coached my dad in high school back in the 50s. My dad always had good things to say about him, both as a coach and as a man.

    RIP coach

Back when they were both part of the Detroit sports scene, you could win a lot of money by betting people that Chuck Daly was older than Sparky Anderson. Chuck always looked very young.

After Kell and Fidrych died, we wondered who the 3rd would be around here. Hopefully there are no more.

I knew that he was ill, but this still hurts. I was a huge fan of the Bad Boy era Pistons, in no small part due to this man.
