Good day,
A$$Wipe buys a .99 item, then doesn't contact me about a problem, and leaves a Neg. As always if there was a problem I would have refunded his entire deal, all of $3.99. 3895 Positives and 1 Clown for my first Neg. (Actually have had a few before, but due to their going off the deep end they have all been removed). Checked and see this isn't the first time he's done this, nor will it be the last.

Tried that, refunded his money, filed Feedback retraction thing, and he told me to basically go pound sand.

Then I would leave him feedback (obviously positive since ebay sucks now and you can only leave positive) and warn people about their shadiness, and suggest the potential buyers and sellers to not do business with them.

I just wanted to suggest that you might not want to "get even" with this d-wad yourself.

It would be just your luck to have eBay suspend you for obvious retaliation/sabotage.

I may be way off on this one, but I just don't want to see anything bad happen to a good person.

Neil - Nobody would pay attention to that one negative anyway. I've bought from you myself. If I was looking and saw one neg and almost 4000 positives I'd just ignore it as a buyer. Everyone here knows your reputation as a solid guy.

Neil--Let me offer a counterargument. And this argument is NOT to justify the negative or suggest that you are in the wrong by any means in this situation. Obviously your feedback and support on this board proves otherwise. I am also not supporting eBay and it's lopsided bias towards buyers.

All that said, give my one approach a chance and if it doesn't work, go ahead with some retaliation, etc. This may take some swallowing of pride but I have recently accepted that as part of the bargain for selling on eBay and actually (perhaps luckily) was able to avoid my first neg. as a seller--I hope you can kick the can down the road for another day or more...

First off, I read that dude's feedback to others and clearly he does not hesitate to leave negatives. This guy appears to be mostly a buyer, sometimes a seller. Keep in mind this type of person doesn't mind throwing negatives around b/c it doesn't really matter what you think, especially since seller so-called "retaliatory" feedback was axed last year. That said, many of these negatives were given in 2003 when there were a ton of "sellers" on eBay who were irresponsible nitwits who were not true businessman and possibly deserved the neg. they received from this guy.

You might also consider that $3 shipping on a .99 cent transaction, while that is the cost to you, always pisses off buyers and this could be his real source of anger, obviously unjustified but still a factor to consider.

In short, bite your tongue for a day, explain the situation, and at least try to "fix" the problem as hard as that might be. If that guy gives you any lip, screw it, and resort to "other options".

That's my opinion anyway. There will be a time that you get "dinged" unfairly on eBay, the question is: "Does this have to be that time?" If this guy is a COMPLETE screwup, which I don't doubt is a possibility, it might not matter what you do. If he has one ounce of integrity, you might find away to get his negative removed--at least try....

I have bought from Neil several times with absolutely no issues. I have also tried to buy stuff from Neil in the past and he never responded. A few days later, the stuff I asked to purchase showed up at my house along with a few extras.

While I don't think the guy was justified in giving a Neg I also think that any future buyer
that looks into it will NOT hold it against the seller.
