    Your Darkness ;

    what have we learned about the Franklin market ?

    That they are not worth getting slabbed anymore- the slabbing fee's cost more than I am selling them for. The PCGS price guide lists the 53-D at $250 in MS65FBL- very misleading to print this number! I based slabbing them on the listed value. I thought it was on the high side but it looks like they are only bringing about 10% of the listed value- PCGS should not list values if they are this far out of whack.

    Your right- my mistake. It's only bringing about 17% of the listed price guide- I feel better now.image

    ...after your costs;

    slab fee, ebay fee's, paypal, etc

    you cleared a nice fat chunk of change on the sale of the 53-D in PCGS 65 FBL ...right ? image

    I find it very disturbing that the PCGS price guide (even after repeatedly being told) for Mint State Franklin's is so far out

    of touch with the real market .

    I bought those coins for about $20 each. By the time I pay grading fees and eBay paypal feels I am in the hole. It use to be these Pcgs guides were in the ballpark. My fault for not researching it better but they really need to change this or remove it altogether.
