Pics from Sox- Yankees yesterday

Scored some great tickets for yesterday game. Perfect seats, perfect weather, perfect outcome

First time ever seeing the Sox play the Yankees in person.

I've mentioned before that my cousin has worked for the Red Sox in the clubhouse for the past 30 years. I think he's currently the longest employed person in the organization. I rarely ask him for free stuff as we really don't keep in touch as we used to so I never want to feel like one of those pushy family members begging for free stuff. I usually only see him when I go to a game and the occasional holiday. Got a Wakefield ball from him a couple years ago but always mentioned that I wanted a Dice-K ball. He finally came through yesterday:

Thanks for sharing. You must have been sitting where that screaming liner off of Posada's bat went into the stands.
It was a check swing foul ball, but must have landed a few rows in front of you.

BTW, ask your cousin if he knows Seth. Seth works in the clubhouses getting the players things they need. Shuman is the last name.

I'm sure he knows him. My cousin's name Is Dean Lewis - One of his main tasks now is taking care of the umpires and I think he still rubs down the baseballs before and during the games.

Mike, great pics from a helluva game. I jumped out of the chair when Lowell Monstered the 3 run shot.

Hi John, how've you been?
It's been many years since I've been to Fenway as well. Back in the early to mid 80's I had free box seats behind the Sox dugout about any time I asked for them. They were the corporate boxes for Boston wholesale meat companies ( I worked for a resort here in Maine at the time.)
