The feces throwing monkeys at UD are at it again

I redeemed the redemption in this thread:
Sweet Spot Break

The redemption was for a Sweet Spot Dave Concepcion Auto/Ball #/175

I made the STUPID assumption that I would get something from this product as a replacement.

Pro: Received a HOF auto 2005 UD Heroes Harmon Killebrew

Con: REALLY like the Sewwt Spot Autos.

I'll trade you a 2008 Sweet Spot Mike Leake auto'd ball 186/199 for the Killebrew.
    LMK if you are interested.
    Thanks

Feces are throwing monkeys at Upper Deck? Is there a YouTube video available?

    Guess you missed my Pro.

I bought the box to get a ball auto. Yes I could have received a Toby Harrah ball auto in the box but it still would have been what I paid my $$ for.

I love Killebrew's autograph. One of the classics.

Concepcion is not a bum. He's a near-HOFer (i.e., you can make a decent case that he's better than some people elected who played his position).
I would call Upper Deck and indicate that you feel the Concepcion #ed auto ball is a better card than a Harmon Killebrew auto and that you were shortchanged in the redemption. You may get something else from them.
The last time I had a redemption problem from Upper Deck and had to contact their customer service, they sent me 2 hockey GU cards (one of them Roy) in place of the rookie that they couldn't fulfill.

  • Agreed, if I won a auto ball and they gave me a sticker, I'd be a bit pissy as well. A ball is much different than a sticker card, try putting one into a ball cube. image

Concepcion is a bum because he didn't sign.image

I did e-mail UD and I told them that the Redemption page prompted me to send them an e-mail to Time2Swap@upperdeck.com which I did andtold then that I collected Red Sox and Patriots.

One of the lower-on-the-food-chain monkies wrote me back:

    Hello Jon

we did not see a list that you requested for that card. We did see a list for a Kevin Slowey that you put that list in for but not the card you had. You did recieve one of the best players of all time in Harmon Killabrew which was comparable to the card you had. thank you

I wrote that the player replacemnt was a fine choice but that I bought this product for the purpose of getting a Sweet Spot Autograph.

We will see if the mouth breathing morons reply

Go on FCB message boards, Im sure you could trade that 500 HR run guy for 10 ball autos, there are plenty of them and there are plenty fo guys
like Davie. I know it is disappointing and you can really expect that when dealing with UD, but you did better than most. If you work a trade you
will be able to get a ball auto.

    Good Luck
