Info needed on old baseball mitt

This picture is from a local auction so I cannot get any better than this. If you look at the thumb there is writting. Does this say dimaggio?? Any info would be appreciated. The auction description just says old mitt. Any value??

    It does say DiMaggio, but I know nothing about the glove.
