    I mentioned it before here.. but on my vacation we went to a rockies phillies game.. and he was hitting bombs in bp.. and no one else barely hit any
    every ball he caught in the feild went into the stands.. a great guy for the fans.. always liked him.. now i am a big fan

    From what I recall, Deer had a very similar demeanor back in the 80's when he was with the Brewers.
