Question for eBay Store Owners

I keep getting this message when I try to send an inventory item to auction:

These listings cannot be edited, because of following restrictions:

Item #300275487123 - IVAN RODRIGUEZ 1991 TOPPS TRADED ROOKIE PSA 10 GEM MINT

The Item Specifics of the above item have been updated. You may want to review the listing before relisting or remove it from the list of items to be relisted.

Please do one of the following:

To edit different listings, click the Back button.

Does anyone know what is causing this?

Many thanks,
Scott

I use Turbo Lister. When I try to send an item to auction, I usually have to go back into Turbo Lister, edit the Item Specifics, save the changes, and sync the changes. Then I can go back to eBay and send the item to auction.

Edit to add: If you are using a different bulk loading tool, maybe it works the same way.

No -- I've never used Turbo Lister -- I usually only have about 50 items available at any given time. I'm sure it would be more efficient -- just never got into it.

If you go into the item from eBay and edit the item specifics, will it then let you push the item to auction?

There's no option to change the listing type from Inventory to Auction.

I guess I'm stuck "listing similar" then deleting the original -- but that's a pain.

Edit the item from it's listing - only don't make any changes. Then you can move it from inventory to auction.

I was told by Ebay 'support' that the only way around this is to cancel the store listing, then click on 'sell similar' and send that to auction.

I agree with all who say this is a royal PITA. They first put this in so that old store listing that stated they accepted M.O.'s or checks wouldn't go into core, but now it appears as though it affects even those store listings that don't make any mention of alternative payment methods.

God, I'm sick of Ebay. 12% fees, the new format is terrible, irritating bugs in the software.... hopefully some other legitimate E-commerce site for collectibles emerges soon.
