ALERT!........PAYPAL ACCOUNT HACKED

Guys, just a heads up to keep an eye on your account. Apparently i bought a Nokia phone for $394.09 form a guy in the UK and had it shipped to Lithuainia (sp). It happened yesterday around 1 pm and i caught it last night, i knew something was up when paypal login (via paypal.com) asked to verify my credit card info and then asked me to change my password. I called them ASAP, it was legit and the transaction was on hold being reviewed. Meanwhile, i could do nothing until this morning when i called my bank to place a stop on the transaction, which more than likely will go through tonight. Basically, the bank said it couldn't do anything until the funds posted...................so i am in limbo until tomorrow morning. I am not the first, nor the last to get hacked, so please be vigilant about your accounts.

Yeah, I have gotten that email a few times. Usually its a fake seller asking me when I plan on paying for the phone or laptop I nver bought. Remember never to log onto Payapl from an email link!!!

Except this time it was legit............ the paypal email was thanking me for my payment to dip$&**........I ALWAYS log into Paypal via Paypal.com. The transaction had already been done and a case already opened by Paypal.

the old 'tar will be back soon.
  • It happened to me before too. Wasn't that big of a deal. Only real problem was my Paypal account being frozen for a week or so.

Kinda like what happened to me a few months ago. I sent a $399.00 Western Union money transfer to Betty Wanger in Thailand.

My credit card contacted me, closed out my account and sent me a new card.

I sent a $14,000 Western Union money transfer to Prince Mbutu of Nigeria a few months ago.

I did it willingly, though. I can't wait for him to get here and share his millions with me!!

They really need to teach folks about these scams in school...I mean they really do...including the crap on ebay. Teach something useful instead of the usual garbage like 16th century poetry...not that there's anything wrong with that.

16th century poetry is totally useless, and that's not even debatable. Case closed.
