The USPS website can help act as a guide. Just charge whatever the going rate is. Weigh your package carefully and compare to the chart on the website. Then email your buyer with the information so he knows the total. Its expensive to ship to Germany, so just be fair to the guy. We don't want people turned off from card collecting, especially in foreign countries.

I think I was accurate enough with the quote I gave him. 5.00 shipping with varied shipping time (whatever that means 1 week? 2 months?) and then 14.00 flat rate international priority 6-10 days.
That sounds fine. Let him choose between varied or international express. Some people do not care for speed others do. However, as someone that often deals with Germany for various reasons, even their slowest route is not that bad.
I have experienced regular mail get there in 6-10 days!! The USPS is relatively efficient and so is the Deutsche Post, so the combo is seamless. If you are dealing with Italy...expect it to be a snail's pace.

I have had no problems regular Air Mail (Now First Class International) to Germany. Like most everything else in Germany (especially the trains!) the DP seems to be quite efficient.
