1962 Topps Grades Are Back

Let me first apologize for the scans. We have a older scanner here at home and it just doesn't look as sharp as it should or even close to the scans you guys have. The yellow bleeding on the Schilling is not that bad on the card and the specks on Dalrymple's glove is not on the card. Some of the 9's have a slight tilt and the centering isn't perfect but the corners are sharp. I have to say I got away with one on the Osteen card. There's a blimish in the upper right and the upper left corner is dinged. You win some you lose some I guess. Thanks. Doug

Nice pop! Wills may be a gift too, but those are sharp. Way to go Doug.

    Very nice.
That Schilling looks like it's bleeding yellow.
Is that common with that issue?

Nice! Some PSA grading fees, and you turned a bunch of nice looking commons into at least $1500, judging by past sales.

    Are you keeping or flipping?

I think holding on to low-pop, high grade commons is like holding on to ice, but you didn't pay the high price tag for these.

  • I'm going to keep these I think. I'm not into selling many of my cards and they are 1of1 each in my '62 set.

    Very nice cards.

As far as keeping them for your set, a quick suggestion - sell the Ramos and the Amalfitano - they are both very low pops at the present time and with the proceeds, you can pick up nice looking PSA 8 copies for a small fraction of what the higher graded ones will sell for and use the difference to further fund your set.

Some of the low pop commons bring huge money, and since they are both 4 pops (the Amalfitano is pop 1 with only 3 higher), and there are a lot more than 3 people trying to build high grade sets, there is a good chance for you to make a small killing.
