Mets trivia for prizes -- no looking up stuff on the internet (honor system)-- WE HAVE A WINNER

One guess per person.

In honor of Opening Night at Shea (I mean Citi Field), there are 10 HOFers who PLAYED with the Mets (Casey Stengel, Rogers Hornsby and Bob Gibson do not count because they were only coaches).

The first 10 people who guess a player not previously mentioned are eligible and I will draw at random.

Remember, just 1 guess per person.

<<< Remember, just 1 guess per person. >>>

WinPitcher's second guess is thrown out according to the rules.

    He probably cheated anyway.

    A Drum-roll please:

I took out a deck of cards and selected ace thru ten (each person's answer was their number).
I cut, shuffled, mixed and flipped over one card -- #10.

SteveK, you won, please PM me your address.

    And thanks for playing.

Thanks man, but I can't in good conscious take it - WinPitcher is a good guy and technically he did guess it first - that was dam good guessing on his part knowing that, and the only reason I got it was because I'm a big Richie Ashburn fan.

So WinPitcher please send PM to EchoCanyon, and at least post a pic here of the prize so I can drool. If WinPitcher refuses, then just reshuffle and give the prize to one of the other 9 - Thanks again!

No I didn't ... I had NO IDEA to which card Bobby was referring ... but I KNOW it was NOT 1958 ... so I just mentioned the first year that a MET card appeared.

The Mets first appeared in 1962.

All those cards were airbrushed, the first time a player is depicted in a Mets uniform is 1963.
