Actually, I wanted to show the great catch that Pee Wee Reese made on the "smash" off the bat that Phil Rizzuto hit to him at shortstop.
So what that Mickey Mantle just happened to hit a home run later on that inning! Mantle was little more than a rookie compared to a players like Rizzuto & Reese!
The OP's theme here "was a nice catch"!
Mantle = hit (guess he could make those catches too! LOL!) Reese = catch! (yes! making those stops at shortstop looked easy for the likes of Reese!)

P.S. I outta know, I was 3 years old when the '52 world series was played!
I was destroying my big brother's 1952 Topps cards, whenever I could get my hands on them, for sure, when I was three! Growing-up in the 50s, I had a Woolworth just down the road, and baseball cards, marbles and all those 50s toys thrown all over the place, ...in our house (with three young kids!)!
I wonder how many Rizzuto's, Reese's, Preacher Roe's, Carl Erskine's, and Mickey Mantle's, for that matter, that we "trashed" in the 1950s? PLENTY! (I think after we got finished with them, my mother would line "Queenie the Parakeet's" cage floor with Topps cards! LOL!)
-1 for showing off said catch and ignoring the smoking hot chick
So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts

The dude can stare at the girl between innings.
+2 for focused fan
The stupid chick gets a -1 for thinking she was at the beach. >>
Come on, the chick was hot and it would have been a perfect conversation starter.
Just sayin..

I think Mickey was over rated in that series. Did you all notice that big home run in Game 7 didn't make it into the parking lot. lol Seriously, that was one big home run!

If he would have let it hit her in the head he could have caught the ball on the ricochet and then taken care of business while she was unconscious.
You never know.....
