www.checkoutmycards.com - Anyone using this for selling with any success?

This may have been covered in earlier threads, but was just checking out their website. Has anyone had any successes or failures using this? It looks like it was started with the help of blowoutcards.com and may be an extension of them.

Any info is appreciated.

Thanks, Mike

I've heard a lot of success stories on other forums. I like purchasing from there because the shipping prices aren't out of control because they are possession of the entire inventory.

I have been debating on sending them a large box and see what happens. Their prices are very fair so I would likely just take cards back.

I just checked out their site and even though I personally have not sold anything there, the fees upon fee upon fee seems to remind me of feebay.

15 cents to list a card in 8 weeks, 25 cents to list a card in three, 50 cents to list a card in one week, 1 cent per month per card storage fee, an additional 5 cents processing fee if cards are sent in top loads, a $3 per batch of cards processing fee (more if over 500 cards), a 20% cashout fee, a $3 per check fee, etc etc.

Not to mention, sending ONE card, they charge $3 shipping. People complaing about paying $2.50 for one card now on ebay. I see the model of a middle man being a good idea, but not cost effective on smaller purchases.
IT IS ALWAYS CHEAPER TO NOT SELL ON EBAY
  • i've been selling there for about 3 months, and most are from lots(small and large) i had, that did'nt sell on ebay--i'm getting very good prices on checkoutmycards---i've started sending everything to them--a lot less hassle and more money--hard to beat--

    Sivotco -

Can you give some actual examples of cards you sold and what you got for them? I looked at their site and it looks like it might be another avenue or selling things you couldn't get rid of on ebay, but I wish there was a way to see if things are actually selling on there.

You can just PM examples if you'd rather not make them public.

Haha Ichiro...you can pick up VG-EX vintage commons for a buck...I like that.

I've gotten some extremely hard to find modern stuff from the site.
