Poland's Queen Jadwiga on a 10 Zlotych conjurers up images of a soft dainty damsel needing to be rescued and is my choice for #1 coin babe image

I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom I provide, then question the manner in which I provide it. I prefer you said thank you, and went on your way, Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon, and stand to post. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you are entitled to!

Without a picture of Queen Jadwiga's coin, who knows?

Jadwiga is not bad, but I still like that blond Britannia shown a couple of weeks ago, even if she was too skinny.
  • Well, we are never going to come to any sort of conclusion without pictures!image

  • I hope posting here doesn't get me slapped, but how about this one?

  • I vote for Maryanne on the 20 franc gold coin. But you have to hold the coin and drink in its 3-d beauty. A picture does not hack it.
  • While I find Queen Jadwiga very attractive and one of my personal favorite images on a coin, I'd still like to meet this young lady...

sorry, but she qualifies as a 'butter face'.

To quote Christopher Walkin: “ Wow-wa”
The thaller doesn't do her justice, no wonder she was so popular.
She must'a been sometin-else in her yout.

Poland's Jadwiga is a great design but to be a bona-fide coin babe you need more then a portrait.
So - my fantasy piece: Take the bust of ol Theresa there add the head of Frances Maryanne (from the 1-10 centime pieces) and I think you’d really have a winner. image

    Short of that…
The two shown: Philippine peso and French sower are definitely favorites of mine, but like the Britannia pieces that show a full figure the head is rendered too small to show any significant detail.

I've never loved that design, though I know a lot of people do. For that style, I actually prefer this pattern.

Seems Umberto had himself a looker of a queen. But do you know which one?
Was this Umberto's or Umberto II's wife? I'm guessing Unberto II.

Thanks, Preussen. It's funny every time.

Not the most beautiful, but it's one I really like:

Some of the 19th C. Swiss were not bad looking either.

And in spite of it being modern the Sower is still one of my favorite designs.

I was always partial to this one - not sure if I still have it, the scan of the coin is from a number of years ago.

Yeah, but that's cheating when you have her facing off against the Queen. Sort of like a beautiful woman magnifying her attractiveness by parading around with a coven of homely friends! Next you'll be posting her next to a picture of Rosie Odonnell.

Here. Let me do it for you.

edited because I was too mean, and we all know that wasn't a true picture of Rosie, so here are some more flattering pics...

What, Mac hasn't posted yet?! image Though Spoon's pic of the young Vic from India looks like it even might have come from the poor Mouse's stash.

By the way, where's the full hair version of Desnuda?! Boz, you're slippin'!

Yep, the India one has a Mac pedigree dating back to the great Inaugurata giveaway image
Unfortunately it seems the humidity in this horrid land got past Mac's careful wrapping and it toned a bit, still quite superb though!
