FCPOWELL..Please acknowledge this thread

Dear Sir,

You posted in the BST baord you had several cases of card saver 1's for sale.

send money to paypal account:

topgradecollectibles@gmail.com

Several Board members including myself paypaled you the money for different quantities, including cases of them and nobody has gotten anything from you to date.
The phone number you gave paypal that shows on the paypal transaction page is for a cell phone that has no capabilities to recieve messages.
Other members attempts to reach you have gone unanswered.

Now I am not going to accuse you of anything, All I want is a tracking number showing you in fact shipped those items to us.
If for whatever reason you are unable to complete the transaction please refund each members money and we can all go our seperate ways.

Communication as all we ask in any transaction and lack there of usually indicates a problem.

Thank you,

Felicia

I left him a message informing him that if I didn't have card savers in hand by Wednesday or a response that I would file paypal charges. I've also been known to fly cross country out of spite.

For any folks who may not be aware:

There is no PayPal "Buyer Protection Policy" on non-EBAY transactions.

INR claims are filed under the "Buyer Complaint Policy." Buyers
are refunded ONLY if the seller has funds in his PP account.

Can I ask a question? When I needed card savers I simply ordered them
online from one of those companies. What was the reason to go through
    this guy?

Assuming the Paypal payment was made/funded through a credit card, could the buyer still request a chargeback?

Yeah I read that thread Nick, it took him 8 days just to give people
a price. Why in the world would anyone want to do business with someone
that can't even get a price when ....oh nevermind.

I'm sorry this is happenning to you all.

    Yes, indeed.

But, keeping in mind that PayPal is the "merchant of record"
in their "biznez plan," PP will contest ALL claims and lose
    about 95% of them.

That 5% amounts to millions of dollars STOLEN from folks who
    simply "give up."

    ............

People that did not PM did not get a price for 8 days if I read that thread right.

    Steve
    Good for you.
  • The reason I bought from this person is because I try to support people on these boards vs. an ebay seller..figure give my money to a board member. The price was in line with what others charge.
I personally got a response on a case cost in 15 minutes after I pm'd him

I have never had a transaction go bad here.

    hopefully that record stays intact.

The mai in general has been SLOW to and from me for a few weeks. I know that isn't a reason not to answer PM's or emails, but maybe he sent everything out and didn't check back. Either way good luck to you all.

I'm very sorry to hear what has happened but I'm sure everything will be taken care of on Paypal's end.

Please don't let one bad seller ruin what all of our great sellers have done on the CU boards.

PayPal will ONLY refund off-EBAY transactions IF the seller's account is "money good."

PP's "buyer protection" policy ONLY applies to EBAY transactions.

That's what I always thought but I had a customer who filed a dispute against me last year on an off ebay sale. To make a long story short....The customer used a credit card thru Paypal and I proved he got the item, but the customers card still gave him a full refund. Paypal ate the money and took care of me and released the hold on the money.

This isn't the same situation, but I'm stating Paypal still does good on off ebay sales or transactions.

That's pretty much the only way to get your money back from Paypal for a transaction off ebay unless the seller was foolish enough to leave the funds in his account...

    //////////////////////////////////////////////////////

As you noted, "this isn't the same situation."

Under the PP "buyer complaint policy," the off-EBAY seller IS protected
against false INR-claims. (There are NO SNAD-claim decisions rendered
    under that policy.)

    IF a buyer does a fraudulent/mistaken INR-chargeback at his credit-card
company, PayPal covers the seller based on del-con/sig-con "proof." IF
a buyer does a fraudulent SNAD-chargeback at his credit-card company,
the seller can make his case DIRECTLY to the CC-co and has an EXCELLENT
    chance of prevailing.

    ............................

ONLY INR-refunds are granted under the PP "buyer complaint" policy, AND
such refunds are ONLY made if the seller's account is money-good.
