A coin that has traveled

I do not have my books with me so I know nothing about this one.

It is very thin and the color in my photos is about 100% right. I like it a lot.
What say you?

Looks like a very well traveled Swiss 10 Batzen from Freiburg. That's as far as my knowledge goes around this series image

I too like the look of it but that's all I can tell you.

I'll bet if it could talk, it would have some interesting tales to tell. It's been around the block a few times. image
I never thought that growing old would happen so fast.

Your coin is actually a 1 batzen issued in the Kanton of Freiburg. The 10 below the line under BATZEN is the equivalent denomination reference for 10 rappen. It's composition is billon. 1811 is a slightly more difficult date, and yours would retail at about 20 CHF ($16 +/-) in SS (very fine or sehr schon) condition. The one caveat is a mineral oil soak to see if you can arrest/remove the verdigris. This coin jumps to $300-400 in gem condition.
