All I can say is "very nice".
Experience the World through Numismatics...it's more than you can imagine.
But if you'd just like a nice example of the design, you're in luck. That design was used on circulating French 5 and 10 centimes from 1898 to 1921. There are a lot of common dates and Krause values are absurdly low (if you find a 1917 10c in true UNC for $7, let me know!). Red examples are somewhat tough to find, but they're not exactly rare. You'll be lucky to find a truly nice red example for less than $50. I'd expect to pay closer to $100 or more for a slabbed one.

<< <i>That's an essai coin, essentially a pattern. If you're determined to have one of those your task will be a bit more difficult.

I agree with Eric 100%. The essai you show has a few things going for it; authenticated and graded, scarce in red, beautiful design and a great seller (JK, who is also a forum member here). However, I think that particular coin will hammer for about $700-800 tonight, so the price of entry is not cheap. I would first focus on very nice pieces from the era that Eric pointed out, which feature pretty much the same type of artistic merit, for much less money.
whatever you decide, it is certainly a fun area to collect!
My copy of Le Franc VI (2005) lists this as F.119/4 €320 in FDC
The 1897 essais are much rarer

very nice coin, btw.
It's really nicer in hand, the slight rub is barely noticeable. And if you're into sowers I've got a 2Fr in PCGS 64 with nice highlight toning on my fixed price list.
