  • I've seen that site also and still have not been able to attribute my taler.
    I think its a Vienna restrike, but not sure the cat.#
    Interesting coins . Seems they were produced by the drones in some variation or another.
    Mine was acquired in a shop in Oman.

  • Hi Please list weight a diameter for your coin. It looks likely to be a Rome Mint Strike ( 1935 -1939) To confirm this the coin will be 40mm in diameter and will be between 28.07 and 28.13 grams. For some reason the Italians used a higher grade silver alloy 835 instead of 833. The scan you have posted is missing the usual Rome mint "die cracks" caused by being struck with out a collar.
