Did you see the price on this 1979 Pete Rose?

Wow!

No judgements on my part. Hope the buyer enjoys the card.

BTW, what is the population of this card?

Robert

It might be a tough card, but $2,878? image

    wow...

Theoretically it is a $5 card. L/R centering is brutal on the Rose.

    Holy hell. It's like a 1986 Ryan.

Kind of OT but I wonder why the Topps photo guys cropped the photo that way (with the tilt). If they left it straight (as in the background dugout roof), it would have looked cooler with Pete leaning into the field. Just MHO.
Any photoshop guys out there wanna take a stab at correcting this and seeing what the card would look like otherwise, it would be neat to see.

THAT, IMO, Is F'in SICK! No doubt about it ... The Chicago Cubs, Detroit Lions, Toronto Raptors AND the Buffalo Sabres will all have won their respective league championships before you can convince me that a 1979 Rose in PSA 10 is worth more than a 1953 Mantle PSA 6!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pat must not need that card, because if he did need it this thing would have sailed far, far past $2800.

The 1979 Rose is so tough in PSA 10. However, nearly 3K is just insane.

Then again, folks with deep pockets operate in another word.

He may have been involved in the bidding - with a snipe that didn't register because other people had already driven the price up beyond what he was willing to pay.
