1964 Topps Beatles Color

I am having fun this weekend with my scanner. I am in the process of scanning my 1964 Topps Beatles color set. This is currently the #1 set on the registry. All of the cards are from the USA production rather then Canada or England. One of the problems that I have had with putting this set together is to avoid the use of OPC since PSA does not always show the designation on the label. I am trying to figure out how to merge a scan of the back with the front. As soon as I figure it out, I will include the front and back of the card as one image.

I have been trying to accumulate every set that focuses on the British Invasion groups. This has brought me to building sets from the US but mostly Europe. I hope you guys enjoy this labor of love.

what do you think psa will have the smr at once they do smr for non sports wax for a topps beatles color psa 9 mint wax pack?
goal is to build my 1962 topps mars attacks set psa gpa 8.25.
  • If SMR for the pack is anything like SMR for the cards, the it will have direct correlation to fmv. My guess is fmv for the pack would be around $300 to $650. However, this is just a guess.

thanks gives me something to think about, and we know the smr is low compared to what non sports psa sell for on ebay, a while back i had a chat with joe orlando and he said the pack added to the set reg could boost it a couple couple points might be an option, have you heard if that has been implemented yet.

  • They thought about adding packs to the card registry set. However, my understanding is that the idea died in the concept stage. Personally, I think they should be separate from the registry. I have some as companion pieces for my sets but I understand why others may not want to buy one.

great set, packman! I collect music cards also, and I really like the lord neilson's cards from the 1960's. I also have one Rolling Stones card from the British company A&B C. When I have the time, I'll put some scans up.
  • I love the Lord Neilson and Mister Softee sets from the 1960s. They are some of the very few sets that feature the British Invasion groups. Here is my Rolling Stones set: Rolling Stones.

I have all of the British released sets from the 1960s through 1980s that featured music as its theme. I am now tracking down issues from Italy and Germany. It is a challenge.
